Get it working

Okay I bough a 80 z28 and the cowl induction doesn't work.
Where do I go to find information on the parts that the system uses?

If I remember correctly its hooked to the gas pedal and works off of when the pedal is all the way down.

i always thought it was run off of engine vacuum. look and see if there is a vacuum hose conected to a valve near the inlet of the hood.

I always did too but when I owned one and my buddy did too we found it to work off the pedal or at least thats what I remember.
