Aright,someone help me out.I've been drivin' a Nissan Maxima for awhile and I want something a little quicker.Don't get me wrong,I LOVE my maxima,cuz well,it's a v6 and not a 4,but I don't like it BECAUSE it's a v6.Need a v8.Rode in my friend's 97 z28 350 and fell in love with the car!
So I'm looking to buy a 97 Z28 350 LT1,Preferably pretty cheap in this area.Let me know.Thanks.

Look around, man. Does it absolutely have to be a 1997 model? Your best bet are the earlier LT1s, due to the OBD1 emissions systems. The best LT1 you can buy is arguably a 1995, because it has a vented optispark ignition, OBD1 emissions system, hardened pushrods, and has a MAF (will respond better to mods).
Keep in mind that "older" LT1s can be had at very reasonable prices, and in some cases, as low as around $5500-$6500 for a nice example.
The advantages to an OBDII car (1996-1997) would be that they came with an additional 10hp, making the total 285hp. They're also obviously a little bit newer as well. The 1996 and 1997 horsepower gains come from a revised exhaust system, which houses two catalytic converters instead of one (1993-1995).
