ok this is a very rough idea that i had today.. i was at pepboys getting some things for the accord and came across some cai pipeing.. do u think that this would work. it works pretty much just like the tpi air intake would but i have a could hood so have the room to run the piping from the tbi to above the radiator in which it will go down by the hood latch and the cone air filters will be where the fog lights are supposed to be.. now my question is can i leave the air filters off n have a single one in the box or should i take the air box one out n leave the cones or have all 3? will this intake give my car more hp cause its basicly a cai for a 3rd gen.. or will it be to much air for the tbi to handle? i know that it will help my car run cooler but would it hurt it sitting in traffic or just in town driving? i like taking the camaro on my many trips to jersey just because its such a compfy ride and amazing with the top down doing 90 for about 3 hrs straight and i know that this will help with highway driving.. let me know what u think and i will build it and post a sticky on how to do it

So are you going to put the cone filters where the fog lights are on the bumper or the air dam. The only problem I could see is if they are in the air dam it could cause air restricitons to the radiator make the car run hot.

see i didnt think about that!!! i already have the dual fan upgrade so mabey that will help i was going to put the cone air filters in the air **************** but now im not sure mabey if i let them hang behind the bumber just above the **************** it will correct that issue and i can always take the air filters off and add an elbow to each one for when im at the track

You could completely block off the fog light openings and it would still cool. The air goes underneath and then hits the air dam and goes into the radiator.
Many TPI guys have done this mod. The only issue I see is the the small space between the radiator support and the hood when it is closed. You may need to use a TPI air box and filler panel to avoid this.
