the problem is A week ago my shadt broke off in the pully which locked my power steering pump up. Then I replaced the pump and the serpintine belt and all was fine...Then today I was driving and then all of a sudden I noticed that when I cut the wheel hard either way it made a loud whining sound. It was also hard to turn now when I'm moving the car turns fine but when I'm at a stop Its hard as heck to turn. I blead the pump also..what else could be the problem...No leaks either
Thanks

I read another thread with exactly the same problem and hate to tell you that the power steering pump you installed is probably defective. In the other thread the guy got a new one on warranty put the new non defective one in and prob was solved. Hope this helps.
Actually that thread is right below.

Did you recheck the fluid level after turning the wheel from side to side?

What I was gonna do was try changing the hoses then seeing if the problem is corrected...I drove the car like a week and it was fine....but right after the hoses the pump will have to go back.

Where did you get the pump from? Cause I was the unlucky guy who went out and got one from AutoZone because everyone else had to order it. Even thought I hated them to start with I bought it there. Big mistake! after installing it, crank the car, and it was worse then the one I took off. Had to bring that one back and get another one.
I wouldn't run out and buy hoses just yet. You may check them first for leaks or kinks. But if there isnt any kinks or leaks in the hose, I would check the pump.
I hate to say it cause it is a pain to get to the 16mm tubing fitting on the underside of the pump. A secret I found to get that off is I cut a tubing wrench in half and made a stub one just for that. worked alot easier.
