while i was doing some research, i found a credible source that says that all 4th gen camaros / frebirds had 4 wheel disc brakes. is this true?
if anyone has a 4th gen with drums let me know.

Yes, there are 4th gen cars with drum rears.
I know for sure 93 to 97 body style v6 had rear drum. And I think all 98 to 02 were 4 wheel disc.

ok thats what i thought mase. I was looking at the 40th anniversary camaro book and it said that all of the 4th gens had disk brakes, but mine has rear drums (and is a v6)
It was only the v6 and only for a few years.

Rear Drum brakes was standard on all 93-97 V6 F-bodys
Disc brakes didn't become an option until 1996 and then you had to get the V6 Performance Package option known as Rpo " Y87 " and that gave V6 F-bodys Rear disk brakes, Dual exhaust and a Limited slip rear..
Gm offered that package from 1996-1997
Then in 1998 Rear disk brakes was standard on all V6 F-bodys..
