Hello everyone. It has been awhile since I last posted here.
Anyways..Some of you might know by now that I own a 1969 Camaro X-11 and I was hosed on a deal.
The camaro LOOKS ok, Pretty, but the car is just a looker.. Nothing spectacular about it.
Car sits on 15 inch rims, stock leaf springs, Adjustable AIR shocks in the rear and I just dont know what up front.
The car steers like you are steering a friggin ship!
I would like to drop the car about 1.5 inches, Get a better steering box ( quick ratio ), Get some nice springs and shocks and stuff 18's all around with 255 up front and 295 out back.
Problem is, I just am not mechanically "with-it". I am not a dim-wit but I am no mechanic either.
I bought this car to learn and now I am dissapointed.
Can you please direct me in the right path.
Anyone have done this before? If so.. Please give detailed description as to what i need.
I dont know if I need a full conversion RACK AND PINION, Update the original suspension or what?
Thank you for reading this post.
Any tips/help would be GREEEATLY appreciated.
Mind you this.. I am not made out of money. But I dont want to shy away from the right path whether or not it is the least or most expensive. Just dont throw show pieces on the car for the hell of it. :)
Sincerely,
Steve
