Does anyone know if headers from a '55 Chevy Bel Air will fit in an '81 camaro?

no they wont fit flow tech afterburnners are great and fit like a glove. summit even has 3/4 headers that fit like a glove and are 80 bucks and give nice power gainsfor the price.

On a stock 350, what kind of performance would you expect to see from running some summit headers, and true duel exhaust all the way to the back, eliminating the cat?

well a good 20- 30 hp and if you want get a nice edlebrock cam for it and it will be alittle more zippyer. mind you if your looking to keep it stock thats what i recommend. that and getting the heads rebuilt with bigger vavles. and in order to get the performance to the ground i recomend a gear swap a good ratio for the road is 3.23 or even 3.42s if your an automatic change the tq converter with a stall of about 2000 or up but dont go to high on the stall. match it with the cam you want espicaly. all in all you will run in the 14s instead of the usal stock 15s for the Z and 16 for anyother v8 egined camaro. it will take a bit of gas milage away. hint dont use flowmasters they may sound good and all i would go with eaither glass packs real long ones or some good straigh through turbos. and the summit headers are great they dont leak or anything as long as you re tq them when new for about 2 weeks every other day. same with the collector on em
