ok guys i got another question for ya'll. I'm lookin to get a cold air intake for my 97 z28 and i have only found two that claim they will fit my car because i have the traction control system in my car. SLP says theirs will fit but it will be tight. theirs is about $200. There is a generic brand selling mandrel bent aluminum intakes on ebay and they say theirs will fit or they're re-enburse my money. theirs if $40. Now the air force doesn't pay us A1C's very much and i'm about to get married so i'll have even less. Was wondering if the generic cold air intake would work as well as the slp? what are your suggestions?

I know exactly which one on ebay your talking about because I'm thinking about getting one to. I don't only think it will work just as good but I think it will work better. If you want to know why I think it will work better just ask but I would have to write a lot to explain why.

I had one of the E-bay specials and now it sit's under my buddys typhoon going to his turbin. sometimes you just have to spend the cash out of pocket to get the results you want. If you do buy it a week later you will be saying to yourself "man I should have waited and bought the Moroso or SLP" there is a reason why they cost so much more.

hey fellas, i've been to the same ebay spot, but really I think I'm gonna go to Moroso.com/ and spend the 205.00 + tax to get the quality intake. But also, what kind of headers and exhaust is recommended? hooker super comp and borla??? sounds good to me anyway.

depends, do you want McD's fish fillet or Red Lobster's? lol. Just joking, hooker sounds great and kick butt price, borla is just one of the sweetest systems I've ever heard and adjustability is nice but the price isn't (which is what I meant comparing a value meal to a sit down restaurant meal). Sometimes, generic is good but I don't know on this one. I mean my 52mm TB is a stock bored one so in my opinion mine is better than an aftermarket b/c it's a GM one and it's been done on a professional lathe but if some clown did it with a dremel, I'd say I'd been had and got what I paid for. So, just do your research....

I was just curious if anyone has heard or tried the transdapt CAI? I saw them for sale at a local performance parts store that sold Moroso and SLP but the transdapt only run like 75.00 I think.
