This is what I've been doing as of late. I could only take a few pics and they arnt the best, but ill get some more! SO..

I took my camaro body and put it up on a chassis jig! thats much easier said! Well first I set off leveling the jig to an exact, after i did that i pondered about were my supports should go to hold up the car. I figured the most supportive area would be the outer rockers and I fabricated 4 peices that would do that job. I had to weld to beams on the jig so it would adapt to how i wanted to fit the car. After all that was done I had to get teh body up there, HA! I removed everything from the body besides non- stationary glass and man, it was heavy. Easily 1000 pouds, even with 6 guys and an engine hoist it was still extremly difficult. Wha'll I was arc welding the beams on my dad and Butch Hulings were trying to list up the car and you should have seen this thing swinging around! I thought it was going to break! so when we finally got it on top of the jig Paul Lanno got to work leveling the car to a 16,000th of and inch. then he welded the pieces I had fabbed up and the car was perfectly leveled and ready to go! Yesterday I was blasting and cutting spot welds, heres the pics enough writing!

It really looks like it but its more like the color it cures to, the picture look like it but its embedded into the metal, mabey its teh color, but, odd color? I treated it with 2 coats of the POR Metal ready primer, i dont think it should be rusting!! now im very lost!

I hope that's the color, because that is exactly what flash rust looks like.

That will be the best money you will ever spend. I too am going to be taking welding classes at the occupational center. My next toy is a Licoln Electric Mig welder, so I need to know how to use it properly.

Thank you very much Matt! I have a good friend of my dads teaching me right now with my Craftsman Mig welder, once you can weld the possibilities are endless! Rick Im gonna check with the POR 15 people about it, because i gave them 2 coats and a thorugh (spelling?) washing (as your supposed to) 15 minutes after it "etched" I used my HVLP spray gun and used the primer libraly al over. It dont seem to have the feel of rust and it formed like 5 minutes after, Ive grinded metal and leaft it for a while them seen rust, but this feels different! Ill let ya all know!
