What would be the best exhaust set up for an 89 IROC-Z 350 TPI? Cuz i still have the stock Y pip exhaust and i like the turn downs so can i get a little advice?

BORLA is the best way to go, it sounds great throughout the rpm range. They're pricey but it's well worth it for a great exhaust system. I never liked the sound of flowmasters and all that other stuff personally...u get what you pay for. A flowmaster system that costs $350, will give u the performance and sound of a $350 exhaust system, and a $700 Borla system will give you the sound of a $700 exhaust system...simple as that.

The good thing about the borla's is that it'll never rust, and has a lifetime warranty.

There are cat backs out there that will perform just as good and maybe better than a Borla for alot less money. It kinda depends on the sound you want. Different setups have a different sound. What ever you get you want mandrel bends and no smaller than about 2.5 in pipe.

I was wondering if a true dual, x pipe , h pipe, or y pipe would be the best to go with for performance. Sound is ok i'm just looking for the best performance exhaust with as much as possible hp gains. I was told then bigger the back pressure then better
