who makes the loudest muffler???

just a general question i have flowmaster american thunder series, and i think the muffler is 80 series. I havent tried any other muffler just wondering what you guys think. I want a pretty loud muffler one that doesnt really restrict the sound. Next time i replace it.

Be careful what you wish for...a good friend of mine had 3.5 inch Flowmaster one chambers on his 9 second Mustang. It was so obnoxious that he took them off after a few months. His car was probably a little louder than yours would be because it was high compression and made alot of power but I still wouldn't put them on a street car.

Well thing is, is that i only have one muffler and its a 3 inch flowmaster 80 series because i think that is what came with the american thunder kit. Its got the signature sound of flowmaster i just wanted to know what mufflers have been used and which one was the loudest you know kind of a concensus from all of us camaro owners.

or you could get an exaust bypass and run quiet sometimes and open header others

i just sold my 91 and had a custom kit put together using flowmasters new super 40 muffler and american thunder pipes. it sounded alot better than the 40 series i had on before with a MUCH deeper growl but not louder at all.it was not as loud as the test sound s on their website, but it did eliminate the flowmaster drone interior resonance.if u want loud then a loudmouth is the way to go and if thats too moch just swap the expansion chamber for a dynomax bullet.
