EGR benefits?

Ok, I haven't done anything but unplugged the egr...i then covered the end with electrical tape...i was wondering what the actual benefits were to doing it were. I heard that i get better gas mileage and maybe some horsepower...anyone know?

i was wondering the same thing myself. I have heard similar claims about the egr valve. thanks in advance for any advice.

Plug that egr valve back in u need it u wont get any horsepower
gains from disconnecting anything from ur motor other than takin out the screen from the MAF sensor. U want more power START with Headers and Y PIPE.

Take it out. Plug the vac. line. Less carbon build up in the intake and throttle body.
