the other night i came across fasttoys.net and they have a ram air kit that is like and add on to the "fee ram air", It brings duct work fom the air dam to the bottom of the air box. InstallUniversity.com says it works well, adding about 10 hp or so, and they did a complete overview of the system but my question is with the duck work in place blocking part of the radiator wont that make the motor run warmer which in return you loose hp. Just wondering, was thinking of making something like their kit seeing how i am a hvac tech i was going to fool around the shop a little bit to try to fab something of my own up but i dont want to waste my time. thanks alot guys

I've never heard of anybody having any problems w/running hotter. I had a friend tell me he could tell the difference in power and I've had another one tell me it was just a waste of money.

I have the FTRA and yes I ran hotter until I got the 160 deg thermo and reprogrammed my fans via LS1 Edit. and I put in Redline Water Wetter, and an SLP manual fan switch, now my temp never gets above 175 deg.

How long did it take for you to put in your Manual Fan Switch? I got mine the other day and haven't had time to put it in yet. Also, where did you mount your switch in the interior? I want to find a good place, but i can't think of where to put it...

I do not have ASR, so I removed that little cover and mounted it in that spot.
It took a friend and I about an hour and a 1/2 to install it including mounting the switch and routing everything. It is very easy.

Nice, i was thinking of mounting it in the same spot also since i don't have ASR either. How does it look? Could you get a picture possibly? Tomorrow im calling up SLP and getting the loud mouth, the new high flow smooth bellows, and an 85mm MAF, then im getting Auto TAP with EFI Live. Then all i need to get is a 160° thermo and the TSP 85mm Air Lid and i'll be content for a little while seeing as i have barely any money.
Let me know about those pictures if u can get them.
Thanks

Dude please don't waste your hard earned money on the smooth bellows. Go to Home Depot or Lowes etc... and get a length of rubber hosing that is the right size.
