Lyle once i upload the picture and close the window, the link appears in the manage attachment block and when i click on it the picture appears on a solid white page and i cant put it in the post. I was able to upload to the gallery with no trouble.

It could be that the pic is too big for the forum. Gallery pics have no size limit but Forum pics are limited to 500 x 500 unless they are linked from another site.

well when i first tried it said it was to big so i changed the size then it uploaded, but i guess i will try again.

Does anyone know why i can upload a picture to my avatar and to the gallery but cant seem to put one in a post.

Not sure what exactly you are trying to do here, if you are trying to upload a pic to the forum or just put a link to a pic in the forum??

If you are trying to upload a pic to the forum it has a size limit of 500 x 500.

You must be missing a step. First, You know where the manage attachments button is right? After the window pops up and you select the pic or pics, the upload button is to the right. Once it's done uploading you still have to complete the thread or post by clicking the submit thread button on the main page.

I figured it out, once i closed the window i would click back on the manage attachments. Big mistake. Thanks for all the help Lyle and Jason.
