Last night on the way home from work, I was challenged by one of those new Bullit Mustang thingies. My 95 Z is stock except for a K&N filter (in the stock intake box) and a Dynomax muffler/tailpipe combo. But by the top of second gear, I had him by at least 4 car lengths. The next light yeilded the same results. He gave up after that.

I'll admit I don't know much about those cars, but I thought those things were supposed to be fast.

They are just GTs with aperance upgrades. They run from 14.2-14.7.

Ah, well that would explain it, as my car did 13.9's last time I ran it (even though that was like 60,000 miles ago).

On an interesting side note, I noticed this morning that there's a local gas station in my town that's about to start selling 100 and 110 octane pump gas. Makes for some interesting thoughts.

Sweet!
Although you do know that it wil not do anything for a computer controlled car unless you program your computer to take advantage of the extra octane.

Well they are the same as the GTs. It does take some skill diving to run the #s I said, so it depends on who is driving.

I was figuring that if I decided to make any mods that might cause it to detonate, the higher octane would keep the computer from cranking the timing back, assuming that's what it does.

Not too familiar with the way the computer works on my LT-1. I'm more of a suspension guy. I wish I had taken more pics of my '71 Z. I had the suspension on that really done up.

btw, I thought I'd found an '01 LS-1 on a used car lot this morning, but when I pulled in, I noticed it was a V-6 :( But, it had cupholders!!!

the bullets actually have a different intake manifold.. It gives them five extra horsies, and a different power curve. They are a little quicker than a gt.

The price for a bullet is insane. Kind of reminds me of the Harley Davidson editions of the F150, if you spend an extra $10,000, you can get nice crome rims, step bars, and a shiny badge.

I beat a bullit by a lot of cars with my tops out and he had a head start.
