Alternator Whine in Monsoon Speakers

I installed a Sony CD/MP3 player in my 2000 Z. It worked beautifully for about 3 months or so, then once in a while I started getting alternator whine in my left front speaker. When it happens it drives me f#$%^ng nuts! With the exception of the head unit all other components are stock. Did anybody out there experience the same thing? Any ideas on how to fix it?

did u do the install......u wired everything ok right.....try getting a filter i think radio shack sells them.....i got alternator whine with a cb radio a while back and the filter thing fixed it

I installed the head unit myself...I know I wired everything right, because I double checked again when it started happening. Thanks for the tip on the filter, I'll try it out and let you know how it goes.
