Well here we go, im just about done with a complete frame off restor of my 1979 Z28. Now here's where things get bad, I got a 18 circuit system from painless performance that is GM key coded. Now everything looks to be right, but after going into the dash I seem to have one wire that is not matching up. So I called up a few shops and they said that this system will not work on a 79 camaro, even tho painless says it will.
Anyone ran into this before, hell them other shops say. We'll wire up your car for $500.00..................the damn painless kit cost me $369!

call painless and ask them, they made it and they should know what you are talking about and where the wire goes or what it needs to do.
