the paper clip trick wont work, us 93s are the lucky ones in that area. yes i believe depending on why the A/C wasnt working it could throw a code.

lyger your the best man... evertime I ask a question your the first to answer. so the guys at bumper to bumper were wrong saying that i could do it. lets say it is the A/C throwing the code (for sake of argument) what part in the air conditioning unit causes the SES light to come on?? If you know??

Nah, the AC won't throw a code, it probably just needs freon. You can actually get a kit from the auto parts store that comes with a gauge and a couple of cans of R134 and charge it. Mine was dead too on my 94 when I bought it in 03.

There are A/C related codes and one sets the SES light. You need to get it scanned somehow.

Wow is that right? I didn't know that, smart car!! My AC never threw a code, it jist blew hot air until I recharged it.

Usually, Autozone or similiar parts place has a code scanner, and will scan it for free to get you to buy stuff there. Use caution, though. Some codes can be decieving in their description. Once you find out which code it is, do a little online research before attempting a fix.
