I am having a friend cut off the two cats. on my camaro. Is there anything i need to be worried about. Are the O2 sensors before or after them,and how will cutting them off affect sound and performance? We're pretty sure there clogged up since its got a lot of miles and neither of the cats have been messed with. Thanks

Removing them wont affect much just look under too see if the O/2s are positioned before or after , I think there all before ??? and make sure you put some decent pipe in place of them not flex pipe, and weld them in if possible the newer cats are monolithic (free flowing) so the restriction difference wouldent be alot but it should help with higher RPM flow ..

You only have one O2 sensor and it on the driverside exhaust manifold. The only thing you going to have to figure out is what to do with the AIR pipes running to the catalytic convertors. Plus make sure your not going to have an emission's problem with your local smog police.
