so u want to do a burnout yes? and u have a 5speed? well this is really easy and alot of fun.... all u have to do is rev the motor and dump the clutch.... the higher the rpms when udump the clutch the more the burnout, but be carefull that also means more wear on the clutch,tranny,motor,etc... all that stuff... get it???

they can do burnouts pretty good. when i jsut had intake/exhaust i could go through 1st and 2nd pretty easily. Could never get it to power brake till i got the cam though.

since i dropped in the vette motor i can just hold the brake smash the gas pedal and powerbrake it at 2500 rpm, it will just sit there sppining them at 2500 till let of the brakes or the gas, ...

Black Angel: do you have POSI rear end? otherwise just one of your wheels are going to spin. so if you do a burn out your left or right tire is going to be worn and the other wheel will be normal.

all this stuff I know already I was just double checking yeah I dumped the clutch and all i got was traction lol,

clutch may be slipping. is it hard traction or just reving and moving slowly

sometimes I will get the single wheel, but sometimes both. when i do the powerbrake usually one wheel will catch then you feel the second and they both go great.

alright BlackAngel get me a shot of your door codes.. so I can run them and see what kind of stuff your car came with..
anyway. my lil 96 5speed was great for doing a burnout, I could be stopped rev to about 3.5 and then dump it and man oh man it would eat it up, anyway I could power brake it all the time, I would sit stopped; rev steady, then just let go (in first) as soon as I did I would slam on the brakes and push it to the floor, it takes time to learn it with these cars because they dont have the power they need.. but you can get them to do it.. I once got second but couldnt get past it to hit third doing a power brake...
you may have a crappy differential.. and may need a new clutch.

well I can just run the RPO codes on my own I know how to do it, Its not that I care if only one tire is spinning or not its the fact that they dont, i guess I really shouldn't be complaining that my car has awsome traction but hey I WANT A BURN OUT!! I dont want to power brake it I just want to be able to dump the clutch and they just dont stop spinning, is power braking the only way? I mean hell I can power break in my moms Impalla or my sisters Cavalier, this is a camaro we are talking about!! ohh well it will all change when i get my V8!

have you ever tried power braking by holding the brake with one foot and pushing the gas with it at the same time then let off the clutch? ever time i tried your way my car would be moving

nah I never could do that method.. my car would jerk forward but you need to practice hitting that pedal a lot quicker.. my car would roll about 3 feet maybe if that sometimes..
here was my setup.. my car was a 96 it had a flowmaster, K&N CAI and a Spec Stage II clutch.. I had some goodyear eagle F1 tires they hooked up great..
I never had no problems with dumping the clutch and getting it to kill it...:weightlif
quit being a pansey and set that baby to the floor :duck::)

power braking is for the fun of sitting there and creating a cloud of smoke that doesnt stop. but seriously burning out in your car should be fairly easy. just need to rev it up, lets say 3-4 grand, and pop the clutch.

it might be my brakes, i have ceramic, i know they dont catch as good. but your way is what gave me the idea of ever trying it in my 5speed. saw it in some video.

i had a 3.4 i know how it is, so don't be hatin on me. a cammed v6 might keep up with a stock lt1 but how many stock lt1's have you seen riden around?

a cammed 3.8 will beat a stock lt1, not keep up. and i had to race a couple stock ones to realize i can beat them.
i just hate how ppl always say to get a v8 and stop messing with a v6
but yes a lot are modded, and i can keep up with the bolt on ones, but thats why i need the 50 shot now

dude Rage, you simply cannot tell some people things.. they dont believe that these cars can even come close with mods to there all high mighty and superior V8's..
I still Love the LT1 and LS1 but Id have to say I will have my V6 around for a while, just because I need too save money.. but I may be in a LS1 by about this time next year, I may not have the bird still though:( but if I do Ill have a CRAP load done to it..
and Rage you dont need a 50 shot just yet, If I were you I would wait you need to get the power to the ground better, get a set of 3.73's or 4.10s to get your power down quicker and also a LSD (Limited Slip Differential) I got 3.42's and Zexel Torsen LSD and man oh man.. I can only dream about what 4.10's would be like!!!
