I'm fairly new to z28.com; I've been with the Georgia F-Body Association (www.gafba.com) since 1999. I have a 1978 Z28 and a 93 Z28. The 78 Z28 is in the process of being rebuilt, but this time it’s a chromoly back-half car. The engine is a 360-inch small block that I recently sold the nitrous off of it to buy a pair of turbos. It had a NX Shark Nozzle system and a Gemini Twin plate system on it. My 93 Z28 is my current project. It has a 385-inch SBC with a 4-bolt main block, Eagle crankshaft, stock rods with ARP bolts, KB pistons, Crower Cam (.547/.574 lift 262/277@.050 112LSA), GMPP Fast Burn Aluminum heads, CAT 1.6 rocker arms, Moroso Electric Water-pump drive, Edelbrock Victor 4500 intake, Holley 500GPH Dominator fuel pump, Dominator carb and a custom HVH/NX Super Sucker (Pro Power 500HP) plate system. The transmission is a TH350 with a manual valve body, Red Eagle clutches, Koleen steels, heat-treated sprag, 3800RPM J&W Ultra-Comp converter and a Hurst shifter. The car has a 6-point roll bar, frame connectors, **************** Miller torque arm, adjustable drag shocks, adjustable lower control arms, LS1 front brakes, ford 9” with 4.33 gears and a spool. The car is not being built as a daily driver, but it will be driven on the street.
I’m happily married with two wonderful kids, no really I mean it. My wife Suzette is my best friend and has always understood about my love for cars. When we were dating she was out at the races with me every weekend. I work for Year One building project cars. I’ve always wanted to build the cars that are on TV and in the magazines, now I do. I started working for Year One in 2001. Shortly after I started working there they asked me to help out on there first full project car (Kevin King’s 69 Camaro). After the response we got from that car we started building more projects, now we have 6 full time builders in the shop. Every once in a while you can see my ugly mug on Overhaulin & Rides, we recently finished building a 69 Mach 1 for the Executive Producer of Rides & Overhaulin. Before that I had my own speed shop that specialized in late Model F-Bodies and Corvette’s, but I had to close it because of a major hand injury.
