Ok so, It has come to my knowlegde that I have a entire week off of work!!!! Omfg right, Anyways, So Its my bday next weekend and the meet, So I have a week to play with the car, Now my question is, I get 50% paint and products at sherwin williams automotive since my g.f works for them, I am Looking at the paints and pricing everything out, And Im looking at around 100-150gl For paint primer and clear, Im pretty sure I dont need a gallon of each, So if anyone has like a little check list of stuff for this It would be sweet be4 I go and call them tommaro,
How much Of each will I need, Like with chemicals n stuff what is the avg mix,
And also, If I bring the whole car down to the primer and rough the primer up I should be good right? I think I posted this before but that was when I was going to get the car painted and that isnt a option now!! Thanks alot guys,
Chris

ive already talked to him. painting a car in 1 week....is a no go. professionals dont even pull that off and do good work. its his car.....im willing to give advice on the topic but i will not tell someone a car can be painted in a week. sorry chris, you know my feelings on rushing through a job such as this and although i know you want your car to look good for the g2g, conditions for one in Illinois are not favorable for painting, specially in a garage, a week isnt enough time for the amount of work you told me the car needs, and why be dead come this weekend or upset because you couldnt get everything done.

yeah chris, just save up for either a nicer 3rd gen or get an LT1 which is better anyways :chuckles:. just work you butt off like i did and by the end of summer you'll find a nice LT1 like i did. but dont get one that is cursed like mine
