Duel 3" with LT's is very possible to do (had it on my old IROC) but I didnt run it out the rear I dumped it before the axel (I dont like the way tips looks) but ground clearance isnt the best but its not bad, I went down to a 2.5" and liked it alot better! I say go long tubes as the cost the same for a ok set of shorties ... many will agree go long or go home (shorties only help make so much power and they are a pain in the butt to put in!) Heddman makes the best fitting and tuck up high in the frame headers for the buck (hookers are nice but had way to low!) and any others will be nice but cost you more $$$$
