I have had the rear end apart so thats a good question. The awnser is that I wanted to keep my good fuel economy because this is my daily driver. So when they put it all back together with nicer stuff I just had them put the stock gears back in. Think about it this way. If I raced a stock Z with 3.23 against a stock Z with 2.73's how bad would I beat him? Not really all that bad. So a jump from 3.23 to 3.42 or even 3.73 isnt worth it to me personally because I would loose some of my fuel econmy on the top.
