the ss package is the same as the ws-6 package from pontiac. The two packages are actually handling packages. with the package you get the ram air hood and intake, spoiler, 17 in wheels, stiffer springs, better shocks, and bigger anti-sway bars(i believe 32mm front and 19mm back). the tires are also bigger. The z28 tires are 245/50/ZR16 which go on 16 inch wheels, and the ss or ws-6 tires are 275/40/ZR17. i also believe that you can fit 285/40/ZR17 on the 17in wheels but i think that is as wide as you can go on those wheels. As for engine upgrades none but the inproved hp numbers that GM gives them is from the freeer flowing intake and exhaust.
