What do you guys think of this? I might start doing it...

Yes you can do this to your car. They used to do it in the 50s-70s all the time. It was called top cylinder lubrication. If will quiet down the parts of your motor that never see any lubrication which will increase the efficiency of your engine because there is less overall friction. We all know what that means, more horsepower/torque, increased reliability and MPG. Just stick with the 1:5 ratio. 1 once per 5 gallons of gas and youll be golden.
