Wheel Spacers... Ok To Use?

Are there any dangers of using wheels spacers such as the ones in this auction?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WHEEL...01600104QQrdZ1

Im going to be getting a 3rd gen here soon that is coming with an extra 9" rear end that I want to put in my car 95 and I think all i need is some spacers to make up the 2 or so inch difference in housing length.. I just want to make sure i will be ok using spacers..

I dont know if I would go with a 1" thick one or not but I have used the spacers that just slide over your existing studs with no issues when running my Pro Stars and skinnies.
