I've got a few questions and comments for you;
Hate to pick your brain, but where did you learn this? I'm not saying you're a liar or anything I was just wondering where you learned all of this to verify its validity. Before I use this information I want to know if it's really true. Also, I've heard people say time and time again that higher-than-required octane has no real effect, but TRUST ME. I've driven sports cars, compact cars, vans, sedans, pickups, dump trucks, garbage trucks, roll-offs, tractors, riding mowers, police cars, police trucks, police vans, tow trucks, flatbeds, tri-axles, firetrucks, fire-wagons, mopeds, and even a keg with wheels and a motor a few times. There's not many things out there that have wheels and run on gas I haven't driven, and I've put all kinds of fuel in 'em. BETTER FUEL RUNS BETTER. It's true. And a couple more questions; If fuel quality is based on additives, Is a bottle of octane boost in low octane gas just as good as high octane gas? And in terms of OLD gas, what about sta-bil? I've always been hesitant to use sta-bil as opposed to just draining and replacing very old fuel in a vehicle that hasn't run in a while. I've always thought that old gas is old gas and should only be used in the crappiest of vehicles. good write up by the way it was interesting.

haha.."performance civic"..
I run into the SAME guy every other week at the gas station and hes ALWAYS putting 91 in his new Civic Si. I always thought it might be overkill if he does it that often. Hm..If it doesn't kill his car it'll kill his wallet! I wouldn't spend extra on 91 if I didn't have to! ![]()
