Sound Deadening Build Thread

I went ahead and ordered some sound deadening. Really looking forward to this mod. Even though it will add about 50 lbs to the car, in my opinion, it will be well worth it. Should help out with the interior noise especially w/ my exhaust and gears. I went with Raammat after looking around online and many seem to be happy with their results from Raammat. I ordered 2 rolls of the BXT, 6 yards of the Ensolite, and 3 cans of glue. The total with shipping came to around $355. I will try to take many pictures of this process in case any of you guys are interested in doing this. So I will continue to update this thread as the project progresses.

Well I'm still waiting for my order to be shipped but I decided to get her ready in the meantime. Got everything stripped out of her and clean up some of my interior pieces in the mean time.

looks like some good stuff. i know the site says its been tested up to 300* but does that mean that it insulates up to that temp?

when i do mine, im going to be going with this:

http://www.lobucrod.com/

and ordering the 4'X50' roll so i have enough to do the entire floor, headliner, underside of the hood, doors and sides of the car.

Your brake pedal looks crooked haha.

I'd like to have it where my car is pretty much sound proof inside, that way if I want to listen to the engine, I can just crack the window, but if I want to talk or enjoy music, I can roll the window up.

I'm hoping to get done today.

If I wanted I quiet car I wouldn't have modded mine to where it is, and I wouldn't have bought an F-body.

I def. think that there is a time when you want the car loud and others when you want it not so loud, but that is way too much work for me, but I don't have the loud exhaust like you or the gears so I can def see why you're doing it.
