It's looking like I'll have $325 in mine all told once I get it in. That's assuming I can use the LS1 brake lines. I was going to send them to Nick, but the ones from Ed come with new bearings and I was going to replace them and the longer wheel studs... ended up getting them from Ed was about the same if not less money.

The wheel bearings where like $5 a pop, and there's 4 of them. And the wheel studs were like a dollar a piece.

The parts were about $30-35 more, and then the shipping, plus the $40 for the labor was about $120. The ones from Ed were $130.

I have maybe 250 in mine, but i did get my hubs done for free so that helped

calipers/rotors 100.00
hubs/ free
ceramic pads 60.00
turn rotors 20.00
replace bad caliper 30.00
spindle mod free
adapter bracket 40.00

so it looks like about 250.00 with the extra cost of the bad caliper

That's a whole lot better than buying one of those Baer or Wilwood big brake kits that tend to use LS1 or C5 parts

Hey make sure you cut off that extra small piece of the spindles before you put it all together, I hadn't cut it off yet in the picture where I'm showing how to put the bracket on the spindle, but I did write something about it in the article. If you're looking at the spindle when it's on the car, it's the small little nub shaped like a square, about an inch big at the bottom of the spindle. That needs to come off in order to clear the bracket to the spindle.

I have
$100 in the calipers, rotors, and pads -
not sure what they are, but I'll see if I'm going to use them. the stuffs from a car with ~35k miles and the rotors were replaced with the pads so that's in good shape.
$75 in the brackets
$135 in the hubs.

I'm still thinking about going to a bigger kit down the road - if I start roadcoursing. Probably get the 13" / 4 pot WilWood kit from Ed. Be cheaper now that all I'd need will be the calipers, brackets, rotors, and pads.

I'm looking to do the same to my car. I'm trying to find a place to get my hubs done in town, but I'm hearing "it's gonna cost about 100". I'm really trying to get an extra set of spindles, so I can mod them for drifting also.

I'm going to get a speed bleeders for all four corners on mine and replace all the fluid. Have you thought about getting these to help with getting the air out?

Yeah looks like the other caliper I got that I didnt replace is leaking at the piston. I went to work lastnight, after I got home this morning, and was a few drops under it, so that might be it.

You don't think it could be something as simple as a loose line? Also, did you make sure to put new copper washers on the lines?
