Smile SYNTHETIC OIL: Rx FOR LONG ENGINE LIFE

Below is a link to the article, "SYNTHETIC OIL: Rx FOR LONG ENGINE LIFE", by Curt Scott. Just click on the below link and it will automatically take you to the article -

Synthetic Oil: Rx For Long Engine Life, by Curt Scott - GETAHELMET.COM

This article is an from an independent source and is by far, the very best article I have ever read on the topic of synthetic oils vs petroleum oils, and over 22 years I have read countless articles on this topic. It's a superb article, complete with test results, photographs, interviews with renowned engine builders, race car drivers, government test results, etc.

Did you know that a high quality synthetic oil will considerably reduce engine operating temperatures, considerably extend engine life, reduce friction, increase power and throttle response, vastly reduce sludge build up, (or all out not generate it in the first place), reduce wear, provide superior high and low temperature engine protection, improve fuel economy, reduce emissions, reduce repair and maintenance costs and even reduce our national dependence on foreign oil imports? If you didn't, then read the article as it's all there.

Whatever brand of oil you choose to use in your expensive engine is a personal choice of course and that is for you and you only to decide. I just hope for the sake of your engine and your wallet that everyone at least uses some brand of synthetic oil after reading this article. Enjoy.

How much is your engine worth? Does it make any sense to, "protect", an engine worth thousands of dollars with an oil that costs $1.69 a qt?

I'm closing this thread so that it doesn't turn into an argument like the other oil thread. This is good info and I hope others will take the time to read the article. Thanks for posting this.
