Brakes

I saw someone asking about brakes...sooo, I thought I would contribute and make an article on how to change pads and rotors.

1) Remove the wheels.
2) Remove the caliper(2 bolts).
3) Compress the Piston(s).(If you are replacing the pads, use the old pad and place a c-clamp over it and the back of the caliper, to make an even surface)
4) Remove the bracket.(2 bolts)
5) Remove the rotor.

Putting it together
1) Use a whiz wheel(die grinder) with a scotch brite pad to sand down the axle where the rotor rests. Make sure it is smooth(no rust).
2) Then coat the surface with black synthetic grease.
3) Put the rotor back on, using 1 lug nut to hold it in place.
4) Put the bracket on.
5) Put the new pads in the caliper, coating the back of the pads with black synthetic grease.
6) Put the caliper back on, make sure to re-grease the slides.

For any more brake info...or anything to do with brake systems just ask..I should be able to ask.
