Question Icm question

What is the sighn that the icm is going or is gone out? I have been fighting my coils (not testing them) for a while and so tired of it I am about to sell the car and get a seventies a (70-73) camaro. I don't want to sell her but I am getting tired of this problem.

I have a miss fire in one cylender and a rough idale and when I am driving it is worse and turns from the ses light on to flashing. I have replaced the coils (all of them) two times. last time I did it I did te wires and plugs. It was do for replacing. Two days ago I replaced the plugs again and the coil that was missfiring. I had Autolite in befor and now I have deco's. The strang part is that it clears up for a bit after I put the coils on and no specified time the problem returns. This time it lasted a ride for a mile, it usaly last for 2-3 weeks befor returning. I will have the last coil I took off tested now that I know that it can be tested.

Thanks for any help.

icm can be tested as well....take it to the zone or autoadvance and have them test it muliple times in a row so the icm gets hot and then see if its working properly....best bet or atleast helps me is to find a friend with the same car or parts to swap and try his icm and see what happens.

The autozone here said the samething and that they can't check it. He said mine is one that they couldn't check. I got it fixed. The ICM was fine and it ended up being a wire that was almost melted intwo. Fortunetly I had got a set of wires when I was there testing the coils befor I knew that the wires was the problem. Sofar so good.
