94 ECM need info.
I have an 85 iroc z28. I changed harness over to 1987. now i need a ecm to go w/ that tpi wire harness.went to junk yard found a 1994 v8 full size chev truck w/ a 1227165 ecm.will this ecm work? also if so what eprom do I use? stock 85 5.0 tpi auto 700r4. not sure what gear ratio.posi w/disc brakes.

Im almost 100% certant that wont work. Im alittle confused though why you swapped the wireing harness did you swap on the TPI intake? If you did the only sure fire way to get something that will work is to get an ecm from a 87 tpi camaro with the 5.0. Ebay should have one.

Yes that is the computer for your application. ACXT, AKFM, AKFR I am not 100% sure which is the eprom you need. Although, I think it may be AKFM.

85 iroc
I swapped the 85 because the data was to slow.with new 87 harnness I could upgrade to the 7165ecm.Im looking 4 the eprom 4 the 7165 w/ the 85 spec's LB9 305ci TPI auto train 700r4 posi rear w/disc brakes stock. also I wasnt sure if the 1994 ecm 1227165 would work because it's to new. the 85 roc does start but runs rough and rich. scaned it code wrong prom.I used an old prom from an 86 5.0 tpi. I just dont want to buy nothing i dont need. thanx happy iroc'in.
