Really? I guess I could get my lazy ass outside and check mine lol. I used to know all the normal numbers for these, but I can't think of them right now.

Yeah, when they get hot, they will increase the resistance, and that lowers the spark. It will get to the point where there is so much resistance, that it just can't spark, and just heats up.

well replaced the both and so far it seems to be good. think it was the ICM tho since the OHM reading on the coil wasnt to far off from the new one.

i had the same problem ended up being my icm i just bought the car from a guy who gave up. i used to work at autozone until i got smart and found a better paying job. any way its a common problem. and if you can get somebody with half a brain in that store and not so headstrong on their stupid hondas have them test your icm like 7-8 times enough to get it real hot some icms dont act up til their real hot mine was just shot. after i fixed that and put on my blaster from my 3rd gen it runs fine but still has a slight miss and lunges at an idle so in a way i feel i helped but i could use some help myself

Not all Autozones can test the icm out of these cars. All of them around here can't, and I have heard teh same thing about Texas as well.

if autozone can test a icm they can test yours its the same machine just a differant wire your getting the run around. probably cause they dont know how. but i dont know everyone ive ever been to was the same. machine should be in a cabinet under the alternator and starter tester

well i followed the guy over to the machine, and he said the book called for like a 174 test and there machine/book only went to 173? i dont think they are lying cause since they cant test it they have to give me a new one automatically
