Oil Change Light

Ok, I just bought a 99' Z28 this year and I'm so happy. (This is my first Camaro so YES I'm a Nub)

Now before my first oil change, when I would start the car, all the normal dash lights would light up and the obviously shut back off as intended.

However, after the FIRST time I changed the oil, my "Oil Change" light stays lit after each time I start up the ignition. It also stays lit for about 2 minutes, then it shuts off. I had someone use one of those machines to try and reset the light and he couldn't get it to shut off.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this? Or is there somthing actually wrong with my baby?

Help

Someone said that if you turn the Ignition key to on and depress the throttle 3 times fully, it will reset. I don't know that for sure because I don't have a LS1. Your owners manual should say.

Yeah Lyle is right you have 5 secs after you turn the ignition on to depress the throttle.

Yeah push the gas 3 times with the ignition is on, but dont start the engine. Its weird cuz sometimes I do that and it works, and sometimes I jus hold the trip/oil reset for 10 sec and it works also. The manual says to hold the trip/oil reset for 10 sec, but sometimes it doesnt work for me, so I end up pushin the gas pedal 3 times.

Or pull the fuse for the PCM for a couple seconds.

Question Howie with the Bad Blue LS1

I have tried the fuse for the pcm but I seem to have give myself some small electrical problems??? My cruise light blew, my light for the foglight symbol blew, and I blow the passenger side bulb for the right turn signal. You can tell it gets hot....Coincidence????
