Tryin to tune car
Alright, I'm stupmed, I ordered a PCMforless email tune and got the apporopriate cable to tune my car. Well when I try and read the program that is in my car already (has 4.10's) it says Error Security and then shuts off the pcm and stops trying to read the tune. I have not even tried to tune it yet because it won't read the old tune and I don't want to fry my computer.
Has anyone ever seen this before?!? Thanks, Bill

What cable do you have? You should contact the manufacturer immedately.

Umm it is a cable from ALDL and it seems like it connects to the computer fine, but the software is what is not working... Or are you sure it is the cable?

There are couple of programs out there which one are you using? Also having a little bit of info about your car will help us to help you.That's why signatures are so usefull.they are not just for show off!!.Is your car OBD1,OBD2 or a 93?

Haha yes sigs. are usefull, I just haven't had one made yet lol. I have a 94, hence OBD 1 and I tried the floppy drive way (from PCMforless) as well as C.A.T.S and they both give me the same message...
Guess I will contact ALDL. Thanks
