Jingle Bells?

When I get moving faster than 5-10 mph, I am getting the sound of a jingling....almost like I have bells bouncing off something. I think it's drive shaft related, but not sure.

Braking, acceleration, etc do NOT affect it. Only slowing to a complete stop or less than 5-10 mph.

Ideas? THANKS!!

which vehicle?

where is the sound coming from? under the hood, under the car, the back of the car? could be d/s related, could just be some stuff in the back storage pocket of the car rattling loose and bouncing around

It's on the 86....it's got to be outside, as when I drive on a bridge or by a baricade, it's louder....sounds like behind me, possibly passenger side, but I hear it on the drivers too.

Wheel bearings are fresh, too. I've had axle bearings go bad, but they sounded a LOT different.

FOUND IT!!!!!

I was replacing a brake line, and noticed a polished spot on the drive shaft.....turned out that my e-brake cables were not both hooked up, or running through the slots on the underside of the dshaft tunnel. The y piece that connects the 2 cables was just hanging and bouncing off the d-shaft. Hooked them up, and the sound went away.

On a side note, this is now the first 3rd gen (I've had 4) with an e-brake that functions WOOT WOOT!!!!
