new clutch in
got my parts from jegs.com centerforce I plate 10.4" and disc 1-1/8th" x 26 spline. estimated 30% more grab than stock. also ordered new rear main seal and throwout bearing.
only some problems when we installed it, broke 2 bolts on driver side crossmember. drilled them out and rethreaded them bigger, put 2x m12 bolts. the gasket at the top of the shifter was leaking so we siliconed a new one. the clutch was realy loose, the rivets were crushed and bearly doing their job. not much longer and they wouldve started scratching the flywheel and/or disassemble. the flywheel wasnt in bad condition, just a heat ring lil more than 1" big. paid a local machinist $50 to tune her up. had to take the center console out, sucked but went back together good. the car is deffinately pissed now. runs so much better and pedal feels better. getting a scratching noise when i depress the clutch but i sprayed it with wd ...hope it isnt the throwout bearing, ill post if its consistent.oh yeah ill also post my ET going to the track soon ![]()
