its called polyurethane

built in bracketing so if you do break thru the poly, the metal keeps the trans from slamming up into the floor

Yeah it is definitally worth the money to upgrade to a good poly mount. I am having problems with my D/S rubbing on my safety loop right now because I skimped out last time and bought a cheap rubber mount instead of a new poly mount

Not only the polyurethane tranny mount but do urethane engine mounts while your at it. You may have a broken engine mount that is causing you to keep breaking the trans mount because of the excess movement.

Or use this p/n on summit to get the same thing as jegs has but for about $1.20 cheaper

Thanks guy i was just looking at them and they look like the way to go

I was also looking at the mounts and isn't there supposed to be a threaded stud coming out of the center hole so you can bolt it to the cross arm holding up the trans?

Poly mounts all around will make the car feel every inch a muscle car. Even if it's basically stock.

what you will do is use your stock 2 bolts on either side of the trans mount and one of the included bolts and washer/lock washer to bolt thru the x-member. instead of a nut on the stud, you put the bolt into the hole....

re-read that last line....

...or ...you could go with a Moroso solid metal mount (as I did ...available from Summit) ...only downside is that for first couple of days you feel vibration from the powertrain to floor ...thought I might have to go to poly but don't even notice it now. The poly Motor-mounts are a good idea to reduce movement in the powertrain/drivetrain. Also, if you haven't already got them ...and are putting out that much power, you should consider Frame-connectors.

Yikes a solid metal mount! That would be pretty nasty lol. If I break this poly one then I will give it a try on my next go around

If you got solids you have to do the engine mounts as well or else you will break yokes or shafts inside (I did)

...yes, I was a little concerned about complete lack of flex so left poly mounts on the trans. cross-member to match poly motor-mounts.
