Trans question, looking for help

So I have a 86 z28 with a manual trans. The problem I have is that it grinds going into reverse everytime and grinds sometimes when I am power shifting. I tried to replace the slave cylinder and add trans fluid but the problem still exists. Got any suggestions or can anyone help me with this?

Sounds like the sycronizer in reverse is going out. this is probably due to higher milage and the car being driven hard. My sugestion is to either rebuild or get another gearbox to throw in it.

Yup, the syncro's are going out of it. You need a new trans.

Yep, Mine used to do it. Best put it in 5th, then neutral, then reverse. Good luck.
