no that does not include the stall probably the fluid tho. I got a decision to make. I got 700 in spending money at the moment from my job in the summer.. My problem is im back at school and no longer have a job and I would like to keep some money around. If I get the 2500 stall from edge It will save me some money, but I really want the 2800 because I think it will make the car perform much better, but I really dont have the money for that and cant save up cuz I just work saturdays wich doesnt pay good and that just pays for gas and stuff. So what im thinking is maybe I should do it myself. how hard is it to do? What do you guys think I should do?

Well, if the Z is your DD, I'd suggest you hold off until you can afford it. The stall is going to give you better performance, but you'll suck more gas. Save the money in case you need it, then put the stall in next summer just before you get done with school for the year.

What Paul said: save your beans in case you need them elsewhere. The car can wait.

ok you guys are really makin me think lol.. What if i just get the 2500 for now wich will be a performance gain, but will still get better gas mileage than one of the bigger ones and also wont get to hott for my tranny. this way it will be about $200 cheaper and if I want to get a bigger one next summer I can sell this one and get a new one. How does that sound for a plan? 2500 should still help me out a little better than stock shouldnt it?

save your money! your also assuming your trans is gonna last or survive the abuse, which it probably wont.
A high mileage 4L60 wont like it for long ![]() $325 sounds pretty fair. figure about 4-5 hrs labor(maybe less) depending on how good the mechanic is to install and take out the trans. Price is about right.

I wouldn't waste the money. I would buy the correct stall but wait for the install. or I would spend it elsewhere.

Only put in a TC if it is a GOOD one, ie Yank, Vig or Circle D.
$325 seems like a good price for install. |
