Unhappy T56 Reverse gear problem

I've got a 1996 Z28 with an LT1 and the T56 6-speed manual. It has a problem where, unless I'm VERY gentle, it will pop out of gear in reverse. I've had it into a dealer before (3 times!) but they never managed to fix the problem. Anybody have any ideas what the problem is? Or even better, how to fix it?

Synchro. or bent shift fork. I had the same problem also. Do you have an aftermarket shifter? If you do, you may need to adjust the stops out.
