go to www.mrgasket.com. the best bellhousing is what these guys have. go to the lakewood icon on the bottom of the page. they sell a blow-proof bellhosing which is the best in the bussiness. they die form them out of 1/4'' steel that are supose to withstand a 7000 rpm granade. i have one for my ride. take a look at there speces and see if this blowshield is in your criteria.not cheap, but very protective.

Thanks I'll check those out, Looks like I'll need the 1500 or 1550 part number.
JZ.
Could you suggest any of the GM casting numbers?

yeah with a 502 id go with a lakewood or some other sort of stronger bellhousing cause the factory one will bolt up to it but will just explode it the motor fails or clutch blows up and slice there gose your legs

if you go this route, seems to me like you need the #15000 part number. you never stated what trany you were going to run. so i will assume its a borg warner, muncie or a saginaw. which are all gm tranies. if your going to run a ford toploader you'll have to look that # up.

Thanks Z28 that's a nice price and all but I went with the Lakewood Blowproof with scatter shield. If that's a 621 bellhousing, put it on Ebay. They're getting almost $200 for them.
Thanks again
JZ
