I put a lunati voodoo cam, holley 750 vac sec with a pro form main body and a 50 cc kit, weiand stealth intake, crane energizer full rollers, msd 6al and plug wires. a home port on the heads can gain you a ton of power up top. Just takes some time and patience, not that expensive. I assume the truck is a toy and you have a daily driver to use if you pull the heads off for a week or two.

Also, if you toss in a higher stall converter, it will soften your shifts a bit and really wake up the low end. http://www.edgeracingconverters.com/streetedge.htm

These guys have a steller reputation with the LT1 b-bodies and they also will do one for your TH400. Give 'em a call and ask for Andre, he will treat you right.
