Power steering installation

I am hoping someone can help me with this. I just bought a 79 camaro that needs some repair. They have replaced the engine with a 305, and until I can replace it, I want to get it running. I had to get a power steering pump and bracket for it, and cannot figure out how it bolts up. I think the bottom bracket goes into the water pump, the other side to the exhaust manifold bolt, but the upper hole which matches up with a hole in the block has a space between it. Is this right? If so, is there a spacer that goes there?
