Is it giving you a code (check engine light)on the dash?

After the car warms up is when it starts stalling but it runs fine while it is cool?

i doubt its anything serious but hard to say over the internet. id start with the checking the coil , also did you try disconnecting the MAF and see if anything changed?, very possible you got a lil water in the intake after the car wash and it messed the MAF up.

these cars hate auto car washs! stay out of those. now for the miss. you proubly trashed the opti. look for the obvious like spark plug wires, opti connectors. and you icm will make it miss like that to.

First that mechanic is an ass don't go back to him.

The opti is what fires each individual cylinder. Not likely to be bad coil if 6 more are fine and two randomly misfire.

More than likely it still has moisture in it causing a fault in the optical sensor. It could dry it, it might not. The high voltage that runs through the opti will crystalize any minerals or particles in the water onto that disc and effectively ruin it.

Now it could be any number of things from wires to grounds to icm, coil etc. You have to trace it out and check everything until you foind what is not working properly.

The best site to use for such diagnostics is redirect I suggest you get to reading and eliminate each component and get her did

A miss is most likely to be a plug or wire if not the opti.
