Those do not look like hardened push rods. If you are going to use guides, then you need to get harden rods. If they are, then you need to look other places like is the top of your valves flat? How are the bearings in your rockers (if you are running RR's).

Which guides are you running? Some of them will put the rod in a bind.

You need to get the GM ones which are setup correctly. I did use some Comp ones I do believe and they worked ok as well.

Check your plates. if there is any sharp edges, file them down so that it's smooth. Those are stamped and could have a sharp edges that are cutting the rods.

Are the pushrods you are using the correct length, not asking if you assumed, asking if you actually checked them to see?

Second thing that worries me a bit is those shaving have to go somewhere, I just hope they found their way to the bottom of the pan before they found their way into the bearings

If it was after only 25 miles I'd have to think that the pushrods were just not hardened.

Take a file to some of the others and see if you scrape/flake off.
