LT4 Kit
I saw in a Year one catalog the other day an LT4 conversion kit for our LT1s. They advertise 425HP!!! Its about 2500 bucks too. And when you compare that to a supercharger its a little cheaper, no? Plus you get to say that its all motor too when people start askin. Now correct me if im wrong, the production LT4 was 330hp...right?? In this kit you get LT4 heads, intake, all the gaskets, a timing chain, and the GM HOT cam w/ 1.6 roller rockers.
Does any one have this or heard of this kits success or failure?? Also. In a relatively stock LT1, how much HP does the HOT cam kit alone add?? I've yet to see an advertised HP rating and was wondering what yall have heard. Thanks. |

Without headers, cat back and CAI, you will not see more than about 320 rwhp IMO. Hotcam kit alone averages 25-30 hp. Intake and heads around 15-20. For the same cash you can buy a cam like mine, have your lt1 heads ported, buy some headers, get a pcmforless tune, and be making around 380 rwhp.
