Check all your wiring. Make sure all your grounds are tight. Make sure nothing is melting on a manifold or hot block. Make sure all your connectors are tight. That's a good place to start. Make sure all your fuses are tight and the connections on your alternator are tight, etc.,etc.,etc.

Oh, welcome to the site. You may want to have your charging system checked because if your battery is weak and your alternator is breaking down at high rpm's then you could have problems like this I guess.

The charging system is basically your alternator and battery. Some auto parts houses perform the test for free. Check it out where you live and tell them what's happening.

Lyle A is right on,Make sure all the Connections are Clean and TIGHT(Battery posts,Alternator Posts,Ground Cables on Motor and Frame)and ........Heres a Thought......Check your Serpentine Belt to Make sure it is Not Cracked,Glazed and/or loose!!!But either way,Get it checked.I bet it will be the Alternator or the Bad Grounds. I hope this helps.Welcome to the Site!!!!!!!!

Connections!

What we mean by connections is......Your Battery posts/Clamps(Make sure your Battery cables are Tight-Make sure you cant Turn them or Pop Off),Look at the Back of your Alternator-Make sure there are No loose wires or Corroded Wires-look for Greenish or Black Fuzzy looking stuff on the Posts. Also,If you can find it-Check your Ground Cable,It will run from the Battery(Negative Side)to the Body and the Motor-Make sure it is tight and Not corroded.) Well.......I hope this helps!Oh....I forgot....The Serpentine Belt Is the Rubber Belt that Runs over All the Pulleys(And Alternator) on the Front of the Motor.Good Luck!See Ya Around,K

I say take it to a mechanic who knows auto electrical, and to help yourself out, take a class in the basics of auto mechanical. Or get a manual for your car and study it carefully.
